You have been putting alot of dedication this past year into CF when you were gone and it is paying off. I dunno if I should call you “Mini-JMF” anymore as you are lifting disgusting amounts on par with alot of the 200+ lbs guys there haha. Way to go man!

  8. Andre says:

Well done Ryan!! Your form seems to improve on every lift which why it looks so effortless on those heavy lifts. Keep up the dedication.

Thanks everyone for the compliments, I Love training here, every day I’m pushed to new levels that i previously thought were unobtainable. I always am pushed for one more rep, one more pound, one less second. If someone had told me when I started where I am now, I would not have believed it.
Few people remember how i was when I started, and I can barely believe the change that has happened. To put things in perspective, when I started here, I was 125 pounds soaking wet, and felt like a bad ass because I was a competitive rock climber who had done some cross fit esque workouts. My first workout at OCC was elizabeth (21 15 9 cleans and ring dips), with 85 pounds (rx is 135). I some how managed to finish the workout in some obscene (15+ minute) time. Honest to god, I could barely walk for a week after, but I was hooked.

Now not even a year later, I’m 160+/- pounds of muscle, and am beginning to put up some big weight. Now instead of simply looking at the astounding athletes times and scores in awe, I am putting them up, and am hooked on making every second count. I am grateful to everyone in the gym who helps me and pushes me to get to the next level! Be ready to see some truly insane scores as I dial in my training and diet from beer and pizza with some heavy squats, back to cross fit. Thanks everyone for all of the support, and Ill see you all in the gym soon!
